З почiном

Короче - сегодня у меня в метро, в страшной давке, у меня чуть не утянули кошелёк.
Из кармана утянули, но я почуствовал, резко обернулся, а там мужичёк вроде как ни при чём - выронил из рук мой кошель.

Жалею, что не дал в морду.
Очень-очень жалею :-/

(кошель после инцидента был переложен в другое место)

I learned this from the clever folk in Detroit who often get robbed:
carry TWO wallets, just to make sure. One--somewhere where it's really hard to get. Put the important stuff there, including the larger bills and the documents. The other, with very little cash, put freely in your pocket and make it obvious so that instead of looking for a wallet, they know exactly were it is and steal/ask for that one.

Or better yet, get a wallet chain (http://www.crack-a-jack.com/images/Shop%20Thumbs/W006C-Ironcross_chain.jpg).

The idea of wallet chain came into my mind several months ago :-)
But I never saw it for sale here :-)
... I think, the idea of 2 wallets could be adopted :-)

A wallet chain should be sold at any clothing and accessory store for punks and stuff. I'm sure there are some in Kiev.

Since it's "uncool" to shop at those stores around here, people rig their own out of any old chains they find, like the invincible bicycle chain. All you need is a strong clasp to hold one end to your belt/pants, and a strong ring to attach to your wallet.

So although they are pretty much a useless fashion statement anywhere in Michigan (if anyone wanted your wallet, they'd just bust out a gun and ask for it), they assume their function in cities with public transportation.
