Here is a capsule of accomplishments you may not be fully aware of. I thought you might find these statistics interesting.
The Middle East has been growing date palms for centuries.
The average tree is about 18-20 feet tall and yields about 38 pounds of dates a year.

I bet a lot of these are nothing special, either, I just don't know anything about economics.

That doesn't say all that much, since pretty much the entire Middle East is stuck in the dark ages. Stupid comparison, but the second sentence kinda got it out of the shithole. Too bad it had nothing to DO with the middle east, but with UK.
Same goes for Israel's $100 billion economy is larger than all of its immediate neighbors combined.
I appreciate their inventions, but I don't see a giant list of all the inventions done by other developed nations.
Israelis are just full of themselves most of the time, and it's really irritating. I like people who are down-to-earth genuine and modest more than the self-absorbed over-achievers.
Nonetheless, this puts them far above "just another shitty little country." France says that about everyone, though. They're the snobbiest nation in the world, after all!
